Campaign to control Electricity Theft

Nepal Electricity Authority, Madhyapur Thimi Distribution Center raided different places in the Madhyapur Thimi Municipality area as per the center’s campaign to control electricity theft.

During the raid, the local liquors industries and NEA customers were found using the electricity for pulling water and other purposes by hooking.  The center has taken action against the customers who are running various business by stealing electricity, said chief of the center Raju Shrestha.

The center collected Rs 250,000 fine from the NEA customers.
