Madhyapur promoted to ‘A’ division

Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) has became the first ‘A’ division club from Bhaktapur in the history of Nepalese football

MYA has achieved the glory on Tuesday, Jan 10th with the secure promotion to the ‘A’ division. MYA succeeded a 3-2 victory over Star Club in the Martyrs Memorial Red Bull B Division Football League.

Madhyapur has 29 points from 14 matches and the second position while Sankata Club became the champion with 30 points from 14 matches. Birgunj has 28 points and third position.

MYA was established on December 30, 2006. It played ´C´ division qualifying in the next year but could not succeed. Nevertheless, it succeeded to qualify in the ´C´ division in 2008. MYA qualified to ´B´ division in 2009.
