People in an old photo recognized after 35 years

A US citizen Dr Richard F Darsie had come to Nepal in 1966 as a USAID malaria eradication expert. He had taken a picture of a farmer with kharpan and two kids in Thimi. Thirty-five years after this picture was taken, the people have been recognized by a republica team.

The team, after two months of search, recognized Dhruba Prajapati (71) and his two little children in the picture are 39 and 37 now. When the first picture was taken, Dhruba was 36 and the kids were 2 and 4.
